Tried for the big 3.0, but not happening.  2.6 and the gas ran out.  It happens to all of us.  You don’t quite have the umph to get to the goal you set for yourself. I had to take a few days off running because the ibuprofen was not working anymore.  It seems like the more I run, the more I hurt.  I know my gait is off, hips are terrible along the outside.  I’ve been looking into it and I’m thinking it might be IT band syndrome.  Mostly, my fat ass can’t move that fast and be balanced by the muscles I have.  I’m going to start doing some side leg lifts to build up those muscles.  A few days off will get rid of the pain and not be long enough to destroy the base that I have built up so far.
